According to the specifics, retailers will not need to purchase new machinery to use this system, according to Chief Commissioner Medium Taxpayers Office Abdul Hameed Memon. Retailers need to download an app from FBR’s website and install it on their existing equipment.

When a store makes a sale, a printable QR code or barcode is generated automatically, according to the article. Additionally, this Point of Sale (PoS) invoice reporting system includes automatic sales tax return preparation, which will save retailers money. Customers can also use the Tax Asaan App to confirm that sales tax has been paid and that sales have been reported to the FBR.
