Rawalpindi: According to the latest news, political and bureaucratic circles were enraged by the fact-finding report on the Ring Road project, which they called fraudulent and demanded an impartial investigation.
Locals whose names were cited in the report as beneficiaries have rejected the report’s assertion after it was rejected by Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah mentioned Dr. Syed Tauqeer Shah in his report, saying, “R3 alignment along Paswal Zigzag was contrived to benefit Dr. Syed Tauqeer Shah and his family.”
According to sources, Dr. Syed Tauqeer Shah’s land was within the confines of Islamabad, not Rawalpindi or the Punjab government, and his name was used to blame the PML-N because he was connected to former Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Dr. Syed Tauqeer Shah objected to the study’s content, claiming that his name was included in the report to malign him and that he had the right to oppose it.
He told Dawn that his land was in the C-17 sector of Islamabad’s Zone 2 and that the procedure to acquire land for a 1.4-kilometer stretch of Rawalpindi Ring Road had not yet begun.

According to a request for proposal (FRP) issued by the Public-Private Partnership Authority Punjab last month, the total length of the Rawalpindi Ring Road was 66.3 kilometers, with only 1.4 kilometers being within C-17 Zone 2 in Islamabad.
He claimed that the Capital Development Authority was in charge of land purchase in the areas under its administrative authority, but that neither section 4 nor the district price evaluation committee set the price of the land.
