Islamabad: As per a news report, Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar on Sunday announced the establishment of the first industrial unit in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) (SEZ).
He said on Twitter that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is moving into an exciting period of industrial cooperation, with “foreign investment transferring technology & creating jobs ”
Because of its proximity to the first juncture of the CPEC path, the Rashakai SEZ will play a significant role in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the country.
The Peshawar airport and the ML-I are also next to the SEZ. The region, which spans 1,000 acres of land, will be built in three stages, with an approximate FDI of $128 million.
