Peshawar: According to a recent news report, during the Eid-ul-Azha vacations, millions of tourists from all across the nation descended on Malakand and Hazara Divisions, generating massive job possibilities and an estimated Rs. 4 billion in income.

For the first time in history, Kalam and Bahrain had such a massive inflow of visitors that local hotels were unable to accommodate them, forcing thousands of tourists to remain in tents and residents’ rooms and houses.

Millions of visitors came to KP instead of visiting tourist places owing of Covid-19 limitations, according to KP Tourism Department spokesperson Latif-ur-Rehman.

During the Eid holidays, more than 550,000 tourist cars were registered in Malakand Division alone, while more than 200,000 vehicles and more than 1 million visitors entered Galiyat, and more than 1.2 million tourists in 300,000 vehicles visited Kaghan, according to Latif.

Over 100,000 visitors visited North Waziristan, in addition to Malakand and Hazara.According to Asif, a tourist from Karachi, tourism spots in KP are having difficulty providing lodging, and the province administration should enhance amenities to attract international visitors.
