Rawalpindi: The district administrations of Rawalpindi Division’s four districts have been told to finish their annual projects by February. Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah issued the decision during a meeting on Friday to review Punjab’s yearly development plans.

Director Development Nazia Sandhan, as well as representatives from the building, highways, education, public health engineering, environment, local government, Wasa, agricultural, special education, and other departments, attended the meeting.

All finished and ongoing development schemes for 2020-21 were examined, with each department providing a briefing on its plans. Highway-I is completely finished, and Highway-II has only four schemes left to finish.

In Building Circle 1, there are a total of 57 schemes, 48 of which have been approved. Some funds have not yet been released, and others have not yet been approved.

Commissioner Gulzar Hussain Shah asked superintending engineer of the building department to send the reference for this project and directed the officers to focus on quality control and review performance of all departments. He said from December to February, work should be expedited and completed.
