Islamabad: Construction of the Service Road (South) Blue Area from 9th Avenue to F-10 Roundabout has been awarded by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The road is being built in conjunction with the development of Blue Area’s G-9/F-9 section. The project’s NIT was 243.912 million rupees, but owing to strong competition, the lowest proposal of rupees 148.786 million was approved, which is 39 percent less than the projected cost.
The construction of the Service Road (South) Blue Area from 9th Avenue to the F-10 Roundabout is part of the New Blue Area’s overall growth, which is in keeping with the government’s strategy of promoting the construction sector.
In the 47th meeting of the CDA-DWP, the PC-I for the project development of new Blue Area, totaling to 525.141 million rupees, was approved. The project’s goal is to build a new blue area in its entirety.
Construction of road work, drainage, footpaths, protection and retaining works, culverts, water supply, sewerage system, landscaping works, electricity works, and provision of other related facilities in New Blue Area are among the primary components that will be covered under this project.
The Capital Development Authority auctioned 12 commercial plots valued over 17 billion rupees from New Blue Area in July 2020. Commercial plots from the New Blue Area were also auctioned during the commercial plots auction in September 2020.
The investors exhibited overwhelming interest in both auctions. As a result, the Capital Development Authority has formally begun development work in the region, as promised, to ensure that investors have no problems.
