Lahore: According to a social media post issued by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City on September 22, 2021, computerised balloting for commercial plots in Jinnah Sector would take place in October.

According to LDA data, the authority received a total of 12,789 balloting applications as of the closing date, with 7,516 applicants presenting challan fees. The following is a breakdown of the application statistics by category:

  • A total of 3,176 candidates submitted challan fees in the 5-marla category,
  • A total of 2,619 applicants submitted challan payments in the 7-marla category
  • A total of 845 applicants submitted challan payments in the 10-marla category
  • A total of 876 applicants submitted challan payments in the 15-marla category

To increase transparency, the LDA intends to hire the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to conduct computerised balloting of the plots.
