Lahore: According to a statement, the board of directors of the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) has approved the construction of new 132KV grid stations in Multan and Sundar Industrial Estates.

As well as the payment of a bank guarantee and annual fee to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for the Vehari Industrial Estate distribution licence. It also approved the development of a road connecting Bahawalpur Industrial Estate to the highway, as well as the Chunian Aqua Business Park’s sales and marketing plan.

PIEDMC chairman Syed Nabil Hashmi, who presided over the meeting, stated that the corporation is enabling business through one-window processes in its managed industrial zones.
“These zones have one of Pakistan’s best Ease of Doing Business Indexes. That is why, for their businesses, industrialists prefer PIEDMC-managed zones,” he noted.
