The group is led by Director Central Engineering Lab Nauman Sheikh and includes Director Building Control (North) Nasir Jamil Butt and the head of treasury Khawaja Izzat Hasan, according to a notification.
The security directorate has taken ownership of the school plot record on the chairman’s orders, and the one-window operation has been commanded to prevent any additional scheme transfers.
In May of this year, the CDA’s finance department assessed the price of an 11-kanal school site in H-8 for a private school at Rs84,716 per square yard, totaling Rs47.5 million. Later, the CDA sent an offer letter to the allottee, requesting a deposit of Rs47.5 million.
The CDA did not use rates for commercial plots in establishing the rate because commercial plots typically sell for more than Rs1.5 million per square yard.

However, the finance department computed the rent at Rs84,716 per square yard, which is the rate for government and semi-government commercial oriented properties. The CDA required the allottee to deposit Rs47.5 million at this rate.
After a few months, the finance wing changed its earlier decision and decided to charge the allottee Rs23.75m at the rate of Rs42,358 per square yard and subsequently the estate wing issued an allotment letter with the reduced rate. The inquiry committee has been directed to furnish a report in five working days.
