Lahore: According to an LDA Facebook post, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar would formally lay the foundation stone of the Sheranwala Gate Flyover project in the coming days.

The PKR 4.90 billion initiative is expected to address the city’s most populous area’s rising problem. When finished, the facility will be able to handle 130,000 vehicles per day, reducing traffic congestion and travel times.
Circular Road, Masti Gate, Badami Bagh, Railway Station, and all surrounding sections of the city are also expected to benefit from the project. The one-kilometer flyover will also travel by Naulakha Police Station, Sheranwala Gate, Yaki Gate, Delhi Gate, and Australia Chowk Railway Road before ending at Australia Chowk Railway Road.

The flyover is designed to have a 400-meter elevation at its highest point. LDA paid PKR 2 billion on the acquisition of 22 kanal land, according to the suggested design and budget breakdown, with a projected savings of PKR 270 million due to the transparent bidding and tendering process.
Reportedly, the Sheranwala Gate Flyover project was announced in May this year in tandem with the Gulab Devi Underpass and Shahkam Flyover project.
