Karachi: According to news reports, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewed the development of 19 uplift projects initiated under the Karachi mega projects with a total cost of PKR 14.67 billion on Wednesday (October 27).

These huge projects comprise 13 new projects totaling PKR 7.57 billion and six current projects for PKR 7.1 billion, according to the details. The chief minister has directed Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab to oversee the construction work’s quality and implementation.

CM Shah asked the administrator to beautify the city’s entry and departure points and eliminate encroachments from Sohrab Goth during a meeting held at the chief minister’s residence. He also requested that the administrator improve the Submarine Chowrangi underpass. The chief minister stated that it is a vital underpass in the centre of Defence and Clifton that must be attractive.

Furthermore, CM Shah was informed that the U-turn work at Natha Khan is 70% complete, with the remaining work moving along at a steady rate. The minister requested that the remaining work be completed as soon as possible to maintain a smooth flow of traffic.
