Karachi: According to press reports, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah launched the Manora waterfront beach project on Saturday (October 30). The PKR 650 million project was constructed as part of the province’s annual development programme (ADP) with the express objective of providing amusement to Karachi residents.

The project, which is being built near Manora Beach, spans 7.91 acres and features 29 gazebos, L-shaped seats, and tables, as well as a designated parking space of one acre. The government also plans to build a jetty at Seaview to establish a ferry service between Clifton and the newly constructed beach, according to CM Shah. The programme will help the city’s tourist and entertainment industries grow.

He went on to say that Karachi is a beach city, with people from all walks of life flocking to the beaches for fun and leisure. Karachi has only had a few leisure areas up to this point, all of which have very limited municipal services and development.
