Swat: According to news reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan allocated a PKR 1 billion development budget for Tehsil Khwazakhela in Swat on Saturday (October 09). The funds will be utilised to construct the tehsil complex, modernise the hospital, and expand the water supply system.

CM Mehmood addressed the gathering during his two-day tour to the valley and announced a number of development projects in the province, including the construction of dams and industrial zones.
According to him, the provincial government’s first priority is to complete vital projects such as the Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal (CRBC), Gomal Zam Dam, and Tank Zam Dam, which would irrigate millions of acres of land in the southern areas and enhance agricultural productivity.

He also indicated that the Fatehpur Irrigation Scheme and the Guli Bagh water channel have been approved, and that the projects will be launched before the end of the year. He also claimed that work on the Khwazakhela and Bahrain bypass routes is now underway, which will boost tourism and help residents earn a living.
