Peshawar: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has instructed the responsible departments to begin an aggressive operation against encroachments on the Aquaf department’s land in the province, and to provide a weekly report on the recovered land. He also directed that encroachments on agricultural areas be addressed.

He told a progress assessment meeting in Mardan division on the implementation of development projects and the resolution of public issues that his government had chosen to station two operators at each tubewell in the province.
He requested the responsible departments to properly execute the decision so that the people may have an uninterrupted supply of water.
He also ordered the competent authorities to take the required efforts to finish and operationalize the ongoing basic health unit and rural health centre programmes in Mardan division.
The chief minister also requested a report on the solarisation of mosques in the region, stating that a comprehensive solarisation system should be implemented in mosques with a maintenance mechanism in place.

He asked the appropriate departments to carry out the decision effectively so that the people could continue to have access to clean water.
