Lahore: On Monday, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar gave his permission in principle for the construction of an elevated road connecting Gulberg to the M2 highway. He also unveiled a new fleet of 64 eco-friendly buses for the Lahore Metro transport system.

Canal Bank Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road, and Bund Road would all be connected to Babu Sabu by the highway. Along with the pedestrian walkway, a bus corridor will be built.
The chief minister, while presiding over a meeting, stated that this initiative will let citizens move around more easily because the traffic burden on main routes would be reduced by 65 percent. At a ceremony held at Ferozepur Road depot, the chief minister unveiled a fleet of 64 new environmentally friendly buses for the Lahore Metro bus service.

He handed over buses to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority in an official ceremony. Mr Buzdar, speaking at the event, stated that the administration was working hard to alleviate the problems of Lahorites on a priority basis. He added that, in addition to enhancing the transportation infrastructure, underpasses and overhead bridges were being built to solve traffic difficulties.
