Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo urged the federal government to increase funding for the province under the National Finance Commission (NFC) on Monday (November 01), according to news reports. According to him, the rise in NFC should be based not only on population size, but also on the size of the province and other criteria such as growth and development needs.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to bringing growth to the province’s many areas, including infrastructure development, resource and mineral extraction, and better use of finances for the province’s people.

The chief minister told a delegate of the National and Provincial Assemblies that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed that the South Balochistan Development Plan be implemented as soon as possible.

Furthermore, he stated that the administration is putting out every effort to develop the province’s distant areas in order to enhance socioeconomic indices and bring wealth to Baloch people. He stated that the federal government’s assistance is critical in guaranteeing the province’s future.
