Islamabad: China said on Thursday that it is ready to collaborate with Pakistan to begin investing in new projects in industries, livelihood, agriculture, and research and technology.
In response to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent statements, China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said, “China notes that Prime Minister Imran Khan has lately made encouraging remarks about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor on several occasions.”
“This fully attests to the all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan and the importance the Pakistani side attaches to our all-dimension cooperation,” Wang Wenbin said while responding to a question during the regular briefing in Beijing.
He stated that China is willing to work with Pakistan to carry out our leaders’ agreement and to ensure the safe construction and operation of existing projects.
“We will focus more on collaboration in industries, livelihood, agriculture, and science and technology,” he said. “We will endeavour to develop CPEC into a demonstration project of high-quality BRI cooperation and give greater benefits to people in both countries and the region.”
