Islamabad: Following the floods in E-11, municipal officials have decided to file a report with the federal government, requesting that former President Ayub Khan’s directives pertaining to this sector be revoked, so that the civic agency’s rules can be enforced.
According to sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) drafted a report to be forwarded to the federal government on Friday following a meeting to cancel President Ayub’s instructions.
“We’re going to send a summary to the federal government to cancel the former president’s E-11 orders,” an CDA officer participating in the summary-making process stated. The former president due to presence of Golra Shrine had exempted Revenue Estate Golra from land acquisition.
According to sources, the government and city managers in E-11 are on the same page when it comes to enforcing all CDA rules. They said that a summary will be given to Prime Minister Imran Khan in order for the former president’s instructions to be revoked and for the status of E-11 to be clarified.
