Islamabad: According to a recent news report, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the decision to improve the Kahuta Triangle Industrial Area road network.

CDA opened the commercial region decades ago, but it has been underserved in terms of road infrastructure. While later this week, the CDA issued a request for proposals for upgrading the road network in this industrial district.

CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed said, “We are going to spend Rs. 350 million to develop the road network of Kahuta Triangle, which is our largest industrial area but has been ignored for decades.”

He explained that because this industrial zone had been adding to the city’s needs, the CDA had agreed to provide industrialists with the best possible facilities. The CDA officials said that at the time of allotment of industrial plots, it was decided, the allottee will get the development work done through their resources.

However, later on, they did not pay much attention to development work that resulted in a dilapidated condition of the road. Meanwhile, sources said that there was a CDA land adjacent to the industrial area, which has been facing encroachment from the private housing schemes.
