Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) accepted proposals from four international corporations on Friday for the procurement of 30 buses for the commencement of a metro service between Peshawar Mor and Islamabad International Airport (IIA).

Hanger Bus Company, Master Motors Yutong, AVES Enterprises, and Foton Company submitted proposals in response to the CDA’s solicitation. By the end of this month, a CDA expert will review the company profiles, after which the civic body will open the financial bids of the eligible firms.
According to the official, 24 buses will go from Peshawar Mor to the N5 bus station on G.T. Road, while six others with extra luggage room will run from N5 to the airport round trip.
The buses would be purchased through the CDA’s Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). The metro track’s corridors and stations had already been built, and now it was time to finish the command and control, ticketing, station administration, cleaning, and security systems.

The consultant, who was appointed in August of this year, has eight months to finish the assignment. When the federal government opted to support the CDA through the PSDP, the CDA took over the project in March of this year at the order of the federal government.
The government has allocated Rs300 million to the CDA for the project in fiscal year 2020-21.
