Islamabad: According to news reports, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Amir Ali Ahmed directed the contractor to complete the Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange by October rather than December.
The CDA Chairman paid a visit to the project’s construction site to assess it. During his visit, the Chairman was informed that the Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange has one underpass, an overhead bridge, multiple slip roads, and an underpass connecting Margalla Town.
Chairman Amir Ali, after speaking with the director, directed the contractor to speed up the construction process by bringing in more workers and machinery.
The project will assist travelers, according to CDA officials, because traffic congestion is common along this length of Murree Road. In light of this, Mr. Chairman suggested that people should be inconvenienced as little as possible and that traffic cops should be appointed. In addition, the contractor must concentrate on slip roads to complete the job on schedule.
The PKR 1.1 billion project will be officially started in October 2020, and it will be inaugurated in July 2020. The Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange will be erected at the intersection of Murree Road, Park Road, and Club Road.
