Islamabad: According to news reports, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) directed the road maintenance department to complete rehabilitation and renovation work by the end of the week. The road department has started work on restoring roadways throughout the capital city in this regard.

According to the report, work has begun in places such as F-5, Agha Khan Road, 7th Avenue, G-7, G-5, F-7, Serena Chowk, and Soharwardi Road. The restoration operation includes patching, painting curbstones, and traffic lane marking. In addition, the CDA has asked the relevant agency to work on street lighting repair and installation in a number of major markets, parking lots, and roadways.

In this regard, funds have been made available. In order to promote culture and improve the city’s aesthetics, the authority has also ordered murals and cultural designs to be painted on various bus stations and underpasses.

Similarly, as part of the Prime Minister’s Clean & Green initiative, the environment department has began planting flowering and beautiful plants. To improve the appearance of the capital city, the CDA has mandated that all departments complete the duties during the following week.
