Peshawer: According to media sources, a meeting conducted on Friday by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Communication and Works Muhammad Riaz disclosed that a 1.45 kilometer-long tunnel will be built on Buner Expressway in the Ambela to Shebaz Garhi segment.

The meeting, which was attended by KP-Highways Authority MD Amir Nadeem Durrani, Provincial Highways Project Director Barakat Shah, and other officials, was reportedly conducted to discuss the feasibility report of the 35.2 km Buner Expressway.
Ambela to Shebaz Garhi was proposed during the discussion as a viable option for the Buner highway, which will cost PKR 21 billion to complete.

According to Mr. Muhammad Riaz, the expressway will cut travel time by 20 minutes and make traveling more convenient for commuters. He also added that the government intends to build roads to connect isolated communities and increase tourism. The Buner Expressway will connect the region to a major highway, paving the path for future growth.
