Quetta: For Chinese engineers working on projects in the region, the Juzzak Airport in Balochistan’s Chagai district has been made operational for flights to and from Karachi. On Sunday night, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) staged a ceremony on the border area airport site to open the strip for Chinese workers, according to reports.

Separately, after Afghanistan’s new government took office on Monday, the first flight of the national flag career landed at Kabul International Airport. The flight PK-6249 arrived at Kabul airport at 9.45 a.m. local time, according to the information. Afghan Civil Aviation officials and local PIA personnel worked together to make special preparations.

In a press conference, PIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Air Marshal Arshad Malik expressed optimism that flight operations between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be fully restored shortly.
