Quetta: According to news published on Tuesday, Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani presided over a meeting to discuss the status of ongoing and new development projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) (September 14).

Shahab Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Development, informed the meeting that the current fiscal year’s development program contains 2,131 Development Sub-committee (DSC) schemes, 155 Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) schemes, and 1,731 additional projects.

Furthermore, the assistant chief secretary revealed that there were 859 development schemes in all, with 235 new ones and 158 existing projects. Aside from that, the delegates were briefed about the development projects that would be finished this year, as well as the release of tenders and project approval.

While speaking at the meeting, CM Kamal directed the departments to expedite the approval of DSC and PDWP projects. The chief minister also asked the concerned officials to design an integrated strategy for the department of building and road performance evaluation to regulate the performance of contractors working on development projects.
