Gwadar: According to media sources, the Seaken-Mv, an Australian cargo ship, arrived at Gwadar Port on Sunday, transporting 21,000 tonnes of urea via the Afghan transit trade.
The Chairman of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority, retired Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, announced last week that cargo ships have begun arriving at the Gwadar port, which is now fully operational. According to government authorities, cargo ships bringing export and import commodities from all over the world have been arriving at the port.
Since 2020, the Afghan transit trade has been busy, with many freighters transporting urea docking at Gwadar port. While greeting the Australian ship, officials stated that once the port is fully operational, locals will be able to find work.
