Karachi: According to various sources, with the inauguration of the Miyawaki forest at Metropole on Wednesday, City Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said work on the megaproject of planting 300 urban forests in Karachi had begun to improve the atmosphere and enhance the city’s beauty.

While inaugurating the scheme, the administrator said that NED University was providing technical assistance for the project with financial support from the Faizan Global Relief Foundation.

Officials from the relevant agencies, as well as a representative from the Faizan Global Relief Foundation, were in attendance.

Laeeq Ahmed officially opened the Miyawaki forest by planting trees throughout the region.

According to the agreement with the NED University of Engineering and Technology, a total of 300 Miyawaki forests will be planted in Karachi beginning there.
