Shangla: Deputy Commissioner Hamidur Rehman urged the necessary authorities to remove encroachments on the forestland of Shangla district on Friday.

The deputy commissioner called a meeting to look at the forestland encroachments. Divisional Forest Officer Faizur Rehman, district administration officials, and police were present during the meeting.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has ordered the demolition of encroachments on state-owned land, according to Mr Rehman. The divisional forest officer briefed the attendees on the encroached land in various parts of the district and the forest department’s efforts to reclaim the forest land.

In addition, the deputy commissioner requested cooperation from the competent authorities to reclaim the state-owned land. Mr Hamidur Rehman went on to say that anyone who obstructs the removal of encroachments will face severe penalties.
