Karachi: According to press reports, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail claimed that the federal cabinet will approve an alternative strategy for the rehabilitation of Pakistan Quarters residents.

The governor also announced that the federal government has released PKR 413 million for the leasing of the Pakistan Quarters at a meeting with a member of the provincial parliament Jamal Siddiqui.

Furthermore, he stated that the rehabilitation would be done in a safe and secure manner and that the people would be offered a better option. Governor Ismail stated that the government is fully aware of the people’s condition and that the procedure will be completed quickly.

In other news, Sindh’s government has announced the launch of a PKR 1.62 billion “mega scheme for Karachi”. The discoveries will be used to improve existing infrastructure and road repair.
