Lahore: As per the latest news, Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Director General (DG) of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), approved the remodeling of Allah-Hoo roundabout on Khayaban-i-Firdausi on Monday to address traffic difficulties in the city. The overall cost of the project is PKR 96.036 million, and it will cover a 4-kilometer stretch from Allah-hoo Chowk to Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

The Allah-Hoo roundabout will be replaced by a pedestrian bridge, according to the project’s details. In addition, the four U-turns on the road will be enlarged and a 4-kilometer corridor heading to and from the chowk will be remodeled and made signal-free.

Moreover, the plan has the following features:

  • The three U-turns at Jagawar Chowk, Mahmood Chowk, and Ashiq Chowk will be reshaped and extended as well.
  • A U-turn will be constructed before Shouq Chowk to accommodate traffic coming from Faisal Town.
  • The speed limit for commercial vehicles and small vehicles will be 40 km/h and 50 km/h, respectively.
