Islamabad: According to sources, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Minister of Interior, announced on Wednesday that 80 percent of the construction work on the Mother and Child Hospital (M&CH) has been completed, with the remaining work expected to be completed within six months.

During a visit to the site with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan to inspect the ongoing work, he told the media that the 400-bed hospital will be the country’s first state-of-the-art facility with a modern cancer treatment center.

According to the minister, two major city schemes, Nullah Leh and the Mother and Child Hospital, will be completed soon.

On Friday, Rasheed said, a public meeting will be held at Lal Haveli in strict adherence to Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and to highlight the Zionist atrocities being perpetrated against innocent Palestinian Muslims.

On the occasion, the minister described Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia as highly productive and stated that ties with Saudi Arabia have reached a new level under the PTI’s leadership.
