Faisalabad: According to news reports, Mian Kashif Ashfaq, Chairman of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC), has stated that a 500KW grid station is being built on a priority basis at the state-of-the-art Allama Iqbal Industrial City, a huge project under the CPEC.

Speaking to a group of investors on Wednesday, he said he had a productive meeting with FESCO Chief Executive Bashir Ahmad, who claimed that grid building is underway under the supervision of a team of highly skilled engineers and that they intended to complete the assignment well ahead of schedule. He stated that the grid construction progress is monitored regularly to ensure the highest quality of work and building standards.

GM Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) and his technical teams also assured Mian Kashif that sanctioned quotas of gas would be made accessible to the industrial city immediately after pipelines were laid, according to Mian Kashif. He stated that, as requested by Prime Minister Imran Khan, investors would be given all services through a single point of contact, including new gas and power connections.

He claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan was putting his personal interests ahead of the timely completion of this massive national project, which would help bring about an industrial revolution aimed primarily at improving the well-being of the poor and downtrodden, as well as usher in a new era of prosperity and development.

According to the FIEDMC Chief, Prime Minister’s Commerce Adviser Razak Dawood and Minister of Industries Punjab Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal have pledged their entire support and cooperation in achieving the goals.

He claimed that Rs. 7 billion had been spent in the first phase in a transparent and rule-abiding way and that over 20 units had begun production in the first phase’s area.
