Taxila: As per the latest news, until June of this year, 37 separate development projects worth Rs45.7 million will be carried out in the Attock district. On Thursday, the District Development Committee (DDC) held a special meeting in the deputy commissioner’s office in Attock to discuss this.
Punjab Minister for Revenue retired Col Malik Mohammad Anwar Khan, Member National Assembly Malik Sohail Khan, Member Punjab Assembly Jamshaid Altaf, Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Marzia Saleem, as well as heads of local district and provincial government departments, presided over the meeting.
The aforementioned public health, road rehabilitation, and local government programs will be completed by June of this year. Mr. Khan told the committee that accountability must be ensured in the execution of work, the use of high-quality materials, and the timely completion of projects. He urged implementing agency officials to ensure the quality and appropriate standard of work for the district’s various development schemes. The minister instructed officials to ensure that the annual development fund is fully utilized and that any delays in the implementation of developmental projects would not be tolerated.
