Quetta: According to various news reports, a meeting on the progress of the South Balochistan Development Program, chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal, has agreed to construct 16 new dams in the province. Apart from the funding proposals contained in the development kit, the meeting reviewed existing and new projects.
The principal secretary to the chief minister, secretaries from the relevant departments, and officials from the planning and development department were all present. The kit includes 199 ongoing and new projects worth Rs6 billion, according to the briefing given to the meeting. In South Balochistan, nine districts will receive health, education, public health infrastructure, and road facilities.
The growth of agro markets and the use of e-commerce to link livestock markets with other major markets in the country were among the topics discussed at the meeting.
